1. All players must
agree to and abide
by all rules of the
Atlanta Poker Club
2. Tournament Director
decisions are final
3. Prizes have no
cash value
4. Chips have no value
whatsoever and are
for play purposes
only
5. Blinds will be
raised consistently
throughout the tournament
6. Seating is random
and assigned via the
tournament director
except for the set
table at Jeffrey's
Braselton, and other
set tables to be determined
by the Director of
Operations, or the
owners of the APC.
7. Alternates may
join the tournament
as soon as a seat
is available and be
dealt in without penalty,
there are no blinds
required unless sitting
down in the big blind
seat.
8. Alternates may
not receive their
first hand on the
button or on the small
blind.
9. The lowest denomination
chip will be colored
up when no longer
needed. Excess chips
will be raced off
with a high card.
10. All tournaments
are free to enter.
11. Players are obligated
to take all blinds.
12. If the player
in the Small Blind
is eliminated then
the dealer button
will move to the empty
seat. Players will
post blinds as normal.
This is the ‘dead
button rule’.
13. If the Big Blind
is eliminated the
small blind position
is dead and only the
Big Blind is posted.
14. We only re-deal
for the button when
consolidating for
the final table. (changed
1/1/06)
15. At the beginning
of the tournament
the dealer button
will be decided by
a high card.
16. The beginning
of the final table
will always result
in a new draw for
the button.
17. When only two
players remain, the
player due to assume
the Big Blind will
do so and the player
on the Small Blind
will inherit the button.
The Small Blind will
act first prior to
the flop and second
after the flop.
18. Side pots will
be used when necessary.
19. Players must show
both of their cards
to win a pot.
20. If two players
are eliminated on
the same hand then
which ever player
had more chips starting
the hand will be awarded
the higher finishing
position.
21. All chips must
remain on the table
at all times. Always
have your highest
denomination chips
clearly visible in
your chip stack.
22. No String Bets.
23. Do not splash
the pot. – Place
your chips in an open
space in front of
you.
24. Oversize chips
count as a call unless
previously declared
as a raise.
25. Raises must be
at least the amount
of any previous raise
amount or bet except
when all in.
26. All players are
prohibited from placing
any form of currency
on the poker table
during the tournament.
27. No gambling or
wagering at any event,
players receive league
points and no cash
value prizes.
28. If a player shows
another player who
is still in the hand
their live cards then
he has to show everyone.
If the player shows
his hand to someone
who has folded then
other players can
ask to see the cards
after the hand is
complete.
29. If a player isn't
at the table in time
to take his turn then
the dealer may muck
his cards.
30. Players must be
at least 18 years
of age. Many venues
require 21 & Up.
