The Atlanta Poker Club's goal from the beginning has
been to provide casino quality poker tournaments, like
those in Vegas, to venues across Atlanta, GA and then
attract the best poker players in the area to compete
for points, prizes and prestige. 5 years later we're
playing 40 events a week and the competition and poker
playing has never been better!
Casino
Style Poker Tournaments - Directors, Dealers, Chips
& Tables

Even though our events are 100% free to play
in, they are modeled after the professional
casino style tournaments, where Tournament Directors,
Dealers, high quality Poker Tables, the real-deal, Clay
Poker Chips and great Poker Players, make the APC more
than just your typical bar 'pass the deal freeroll donkey
suckout all-in bingo fest' poker.

Frequently Asked Questions for APC Members
What is the Atlanta Poker
Club?
The Atlanta Poker Club is a group of people who
play no limit texas holdem tournament together
on a regular basis, playing in freeroll poker
tournaments at local sports bars and restaurants.
Players compete against one another over the course
of a season and prizes awarded. It is free to
play in the Atlanta Poker Club and no wagering
of any kind is allowed at any events.
How does the league work?
For decades there have been bowling leagues, dart
leagues, pool leagues and now poker leagues. The
poker league allows you to test your poker playing
skills against other poker players in competitive,
organized poker tournaments with dedicated organizers
and a points system.
As a player, your results are tracked over the
course of time. You are awarded points based off
of your finish in a particular tournament. The
amount of points you earn is determined by how
many players compete in the tournament. The more
players, the higher amount of points awarded.
How does the points system
work?
Our scoring system uses a forumla that awards
points based off the number of players in any
given tournament. Finishing 1st in a 70 person
tournament would win more points than someone
who wins a 20 person tournament.
Click here for details on the Atlanta Poker Club
Points Distribution
For example:
- 1st place in a 20 person tournament wins 268.33
points
- 1st place in a 50 person tournament wins 424.26
points
- 1st place in a 70 person tournament wins 502
.00 points
The formula is designed to calculate a total
point value for a tournament based on the number
of players reward the players who beat the larger
fields but also make winning a smaller venue a
big boost in points.
How do I earn points?
By making the final table of any Atlanta Poker
Club event and providing the tournament director
your name and email address so you can be added
to our points database, that displays to the leaderboard.
Your points will now be tracked to you across
all venues you play at. You can also earn points
by finishing in the top two tables of any events
that have 30+ players.
How does the leaderboard
work?
Visit the leaderboard
and from there select your season and the venue
you would like to see the points standings for.
Once you select a new venue, the leaderboard will
calculate and display on the page you are currently
on.
Once you've selected a venue, click the 'details'
button to see each week's points results. The
details button pops open a new window that details
each week and the points earned over each week.
One point of interest on the details button, if
you have a pop-up-blocker installed in
your toolbar, hold down the CTRL key
when you click the 'details' button. This tells
your pop-up blocker to allow the weekly results
page to open up.
What if my points are wrong?
This most likely means that your name was typed
into the database slightly different for different
tournaments. Please take a few minutes to scan
through the leaderboards in the venues you play
at, and try to locate where you think there is
an error. Look for two different variations of
your name or mispellings. Carl / Karl for example;
If you notice your name in the leaderboard list
twice, please make a note of which venue, which
names (both the correct and the mispelling), the
ranks of both names. Also be sure you note which
name is correct. You can also contact support
at support.atlantapokerclub.com if you do not
wish to post in the forum.
How do I become a member
of the Atlanta Poker Club?
It is quick, easy and completely free to join
the Atlanta Poker Club. Please
sign up here. When you make it out to your
first live tournament be sure you give your name
to the Tournament Director the way you would like
it to show up in the leaderboard and if you finish
high enough, your points will be tracked in the
Atlanta Poker Club online leaderboard. *joining
the online league takes a few additional steps.
