I've got to
be honest, Sportsbook.com
Poker suprised
me bigtime.
I have been
reviewing online
poker rooms
for so long
that I've pretty
much seen everything
before The Sportsbook.com
Poker room
is a diamond
in the rough,
especially for
US players.
.
When I sat down
to start my
review of Sportsbook
Poker I expected
to find a generic,
run of the mill
poker room that
barely had any
traffic and
that was struggling
to make it's
mark. Turns
out, I was
pleasantly suprised
and impressed
by this diamond
in the rough
online poker
room.

Especially in
the wake of
the neteller
closing it's
business operations
in the US (and
also Canada)
the newer poker
rooms, and even
established
poker rooms
are in a fight
to survive as
the number of
players has
been reduced....
I expected that
Sportsbook.com
Poker
would be a generic
site with not
much to offer.
Well, I was
wrong. (I can
admit it).
What I actually
found was the
new "Mansion
Poker"
in my mind.
Sportsbook.com
stands out as
a suprisingly
quality poker
room for experienced
players who
need a change
of scenery and
to brand new
players looking
for a room that
is EASY to get
started at.
After
completing my
review
of Sportsbook.com
Poker, I was
happily suprised.
Let's first
take a look
at the standard
stuff that any
quality poker
room review
provides.
We will take
a look at the
following SportsBook.com
Poker Information.
This is much
better than
average. This
Sportsbook.com
Poker Review
will go over,
The game
selection
offered in their
poker tables
- which has
a pretty good
selection of
games -
The quality
of the poker
room software
itself including
the lobby -
The player
traffic
across the different
games including
the cash tables,
multi-table
tourneys and
sng's.
The types
of games
offered and
the overally
quality of the
competition.

In my mind,
Sportsbook.com
is the new "Mansion
Poker"
for US Players.
If you ever
played over
at Mansion,
you were probably
extremely disappointed
when the Mansion
hut down to
US players.
It was a huge
fish pond and
in all my years
of playing I
hadn't found
a site that
was that fishy.
Today I really
like the poker
action at www.sportsbook.com
poker, so much
so that I set
up accounts
at a skin, PlayersOnly.com
which offers
the same bonus.
Well, I'm glad
I found Sportsbook
Poker.com! It's
the closest
site to what
Mansion used
to be in terms
of massive
amounts fish!
If you are looking
for a place
to win some
money playing
poker online,
look no farther
than Sportsbook.com
Poker.
Does SportsBook.com
Poker really
accept Credit
Cards for
U.S. deposits?
Yes, and it's
fast. 5 minutes

Earning
your Sportsbook
Poker.com
Bonus:
The exclusive
"KICKASS"
deposit bonus
at Sportsbook
Poker is $1000
and it is matched
at 100%.
You earn your
deposit bonus
at Sportsbook.com
by earning Frequent
Player Points,
aka FPP's. Each
FPP you earn
is worth $.06.
Each FPP that
you earn is
worth $0.06
towards your
bonus. You'll
get paid your
bonus $10 at
a time into
your real money
account (you'll
see your entire
pending bonus
amount in a
pending bonus
account).
One important
thing to make
note of is that
you have 90
days to earn
your bonus,
if you do not
earn your bonus
in that time
then you will
lose the amount
left in your
pending bonus
account.
Here is text
from the sportsbook.com
poker bonus
site:
How
do you earn
FPP's?
Real Money Ring
Games:
For each dollar
that is raked
at a table where
you are dealt
cards, you will
earn one Frequent
Player Point
(FPP). We are
accurate to
the penny, so
if your table
was raked $1.25,
you will receive
1.25 FPP or
if your table
was raked $3.00,
you will receive
3 FPP. Each
FPP is worth
$.06 towards
your bonus.
Real Money Tournaments:
For each dollar
worth of tournament
fees you pay,
you’ll
earn 7 Frequent
Player Points
(FPP) for them
once you’re
done in the
tournament.
Just like Real
Money Games,
we are accurate
to the penny,
so for a $0.50
tournament fee,
you will receive
3.5 FPP.
Reload bonuses
seem to be regular
as well, at
the time of
this reviews
information
there is a 50%
reload bonus
offered up to
$300. Not too
shabby.
Sportsbook.com
Poker Games
- Juicy
Fish
at all levels.
Cash
Games / Ring
Games
I
play mostly
6 handed no-limit
holdem cash
games at the
smaller stakes
(anywhere
from .25/.50
up to $1/2).
Every now
and then I
venture up
to the bigger
games if something
looks juicy,
but mostly
I play there
and I was
quite impressed
with the game
selection
and the amount
of fish.
Traffic was
very good
across all
levels - 50+
tables in
my range to
choose from.
Good action
from low limits,
.05/.10 up
to the $10/$20
no limit tables.
Don't get
me wrong,
Sportsbook.com
is not a huge
poker site.
It is a lot
smaller than
Stars, FullTilt,
and Party,
but this is
a good with
plenty of
traffic for
regulars and
part time
players. The
room draws
traffic from
being a part
of the Cake
Poker
network that
is really
gaining popularity
and table
traffic, being
that it is
as such an
easy to deposit
online poker
site.
I played at
sportsbook.com
mostly during
the the middle
to late afternoons
EST standard
time. I took
a look at
the lobby
across all
levels and
there was
good traffic
up to the
$10/$20 nl
tables. In
my stakes
I was able
to choose
from about
50 tables
for me to
choose from
in my buy
in range.
Maybe a little
more as each
level had
around 15
to 25 tables,
but there
was plenty
of selection.
There is a
solid amount
of traffic
there, with
when I was
playing (
mid / late
afternoon
EST) there
were plenty
of tables
to choose
from.
They offer
6 handed games
as well as
full ring
games of 10
players. Shorthanded
is how I play
most of my
cash games.
The short
handed action
was vital
to me because
I do not have
the patience
for a full
table too
often. Visit
the lobby
and you'll
see numerous
tables with
over 50% seeing
the flop,
which normally
means a few
loose fish
at the table.
Tournaments
/ Sit N Go's
The tournaments
have a reasonable
selection
of regular,
multi table
tournaments
with buyins
starting at
the $1.00
mark, to $5,
$10, $12,
$25 and $50
levels. I
didn't see
any higher
stakes tourneys
running. You
can sort tournaments
by satellite
events, rewards
events, freerolls
etc...
New tournaments
start up around
every 15 minutes.
At the time
of this review
of sportsbook
poker, I have
not yet played
in any tournaments
yet, but there
seems to be
a good selection
in the tourney
lobby.
One cool thing
that is unique
to sportsbook
poker that
I haven't
seen before
is the
lobby provides
a tournament
time estimation.
This is pretty
nice for figuring
out how long
the tournament
is going to
take you to
finish, considering
you're planning
on being around
until the
end.
Nothing worse
than getting
to the final
table and
realizing
you've got
15
minutes until
your
conference
call (not
that you would
be playing
at work, right?).
Standard Sit-N-Go's,
fill up reasonably
quickly (less
than a minute
or two) for
the low and
medium stakes.
Sit-N-Go's
stakes range
$5+.50 to
$50+$2.50
with heads
up, 6 man,
10 man and
20 man tournaments.
Also WSOP
Satellite
SNG's for
$7.70.
Bad players
playing at
every level.
It's common
to see flops
w/ 50% of
the players
in the hand.
Happy Fishing,
and good luck!
