The APC plays standard events every day of the week across Atlanta and Georgia. Here are the types of events you can play with the Atlanta Poker Club:
- No-Limit Texas Holdem Tournaments
- Cash Game Simulations
No Limit Texas Holdem Tournaments
These are single elimination tournaments with no re-entries. Once you lose all of your chips you are out and your finish place recorded, assuming the event is in the points. We play no limit texas holdem and the vast majority of our events come in this type of event. It is a ‘standard poker tournament’ like you would play in any casino.
- The goal in tournament poker is survival (eventually winning by being the last person with chips). The higher you finish the event the more points you score on the leaderboard
- These events play until 1 player has all the chips
- Blinds increase on a schedule
- Once eliminated you are out of competition
Cash Game Simulations – Play $2/$5 No Limit Texas Holdem With Fake Money
Also known as the APC Ring Game, this game lets you play in a format just like a $2/$5 game in a casino, only with fake money! Blinds start out at $2/5 and never raise. The object is to accumulate chips.
- Blinds never raise
- Goal is to accumulate chips
- Which every player is ahead the most at the end of the event is declared the winner
